Carol Elaine Munkres, age 66, of Lander, Wyoming, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at her residence in Lander.Funeral Service was held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in the Wyoming Life Resource Center Chapel, in Lander.
She came to Lander at the age of 13 where she became a resident of the Wyoming State Training School. She resided there for 43 years after which she transferred to the Community Entry Services home at 794 Vance Street in Lander. She lived there until he passing from complications of pneumonia.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Munkres of Douglas; both sets of grandpaerents; aunts; uncles; nephew, Billy D. Stewart; and numerous other relatives.
Mourning her passing are mother, Audrey Munkres of Lander; sister, Ellen Munkres of Lander; brother, Dr. Frank Munkres and wife Sherry of Peoria, Arizona; nieces; nephews; and a host of friends and caretakers.
Her happy attitude and ready smile will be greatly missed by her family, roommates and caretakers at her home.
