Betty Josephine Mason passed away in Lander, Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the age of 86.
Betty was born April 23, 1933 in Riverton Wyoming, to Harry F. DuRyea Sr. and Eleanor DuRyea. She grew up in Riverton and married Joseph R. Mason on January 7, 1951. Betty was a homemaker raising 6 children. She was an excellent seamstress and loved making clothes for her daughters and their dolls. She participated in the Jaycees with her husband Joe for many years and was President of the Jayceettes. In 1968 Joe and Betty bought the Lander Husky Truck Stop where Betty was the bookkeeper for the 15 years they owned the business. She became a Shaklee distributor and loved the Shaklee business. She also loved reading, and making plastic canvas villages. She had a complete Christmas village she loved to display. She was an active member of the Living Water Fellowship Church and loved helping with the church bulletin.
Betty was preceded in death by the love of her life on September 9th, 2019. She was also preceded by both her parents, and brothers Harry F. DuRyea, Jr. and Delmar Bud DuRyea.
Survivors include her daughters Sharon Veach of Idaho, Linda Hime of Tennessee, Gwen Osterman (Marvin) of Lander, Marcia Killinger (Tim) of Lander, sons Allen Mason of Lander and Brent Mason of Ohio, 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 27th at 11:00 am at Living Water Fellowship Church, 150 Baldwin Drive, Lander. Burial to follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be mailed to Marcia Killinger, 235 Dillon Dr., Lander, WY.
