Bernard "Pogo" Dale Posey passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 after a lengthy illness. He was 40 years old.
Bernard was born on August 15, 1970 to Maynard and Doris (Wasson) Posey in Lander, Wyoming. He was born and raised on the Wind River Indian Reservation and spent part of his early years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe.
Pogo was a very friendly person who loved hunting and fishing, being with his family and friends and was very respectful to all, especially the elderly.
He is survived by his mother Doris Posey and adopted mother, Alphia Antelope, Grandmothers Georgetta Crispin, Audrey Sage, Pam Enos, Judy Large and Emily Niedo. Uncles and Aunts: Myron and Cheryl Littlebird, Dansyl and Shirley Posey, Jasper and Ernestine Littletree, Pauline Posey and family, Ernest Posey, Ruby Posey and family, Richard and Rose Siers and family, Ivan Posey and family, Margaret and Earli Haukaas, and Lyle Haukaas and family.
He is also survived by members of the Enos, Sitting Eagle, Warren, Underwood, Bell, Brown and Guina families and others to numerous to mention.
He was preceded in death by his Father and Brother, Maynard Posey, Sr. and Maynard Posey, Jr. Grandparents Ernest Posey Jr., Rose (Redcherries) Posey, Iva (Nacota) Posey, Barbara (Warren) Posey, Roy and Jenny Wasson. Uncles Daniel Posey, Mike Posey, Wayne Wasson, and Aunt Nola Sitting Eagle.
Evening services will be held on Sunday evening, November 21, 2010 at Rocky Mountain Hall with the wake at the family home on 28 South Fork Road. Funeral Services will be held at Rocky Mountain Hall on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 11 A.M. Interment will be at Sacajawea Cemetery.
