B."Tom" Sinclair, 88, of Lander died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Lander Regional Medical Center of natural causes.A Celebration of Life will be held at Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander, Wyoming at 2:00 on Friday, July 26, 2013 with Pastor Shannon Arnold officiating.Bernard Thomas Sinclair, Sr. was born in Wellington Kingsbury Plantation, Maine, on March 16, 1925, son of Benjamin & Bertha Pearl Sinclair.He enlisted in the Army during World War II when he was 16 and was on Omaha Beach on D-Day.After WWII he married Florence Sylvia Sanborn in Eliot, Maine on April 9, 1947 and worked for Armour Meats.He was transferred to Arizona in the 1950's.He was in the meat industry until he moved his family to California in 1964 where he went into oil field work.In the early 1970's they moved to Lander, Wyoming, where he was employed by U.S. Steel until his retirement.
Upon retirement he and Florence worked on dude ranches in Dubois, Wyoming and Steamboat Springs, Colorado until his eye site began to fail.During this time he mentored many young people and made long time friends from around the world.
His passion was horse packing into the back country, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends."He never met a stranger-everyone was a friend".
He and Florence had over 60 years wonderful years together until her passing in 2007.
Mr. Sinclair is survived by his daughter Sylvia Fidler(Steve) of Lander, Sons Randy(Carmen) & Scott(Deb) of Gillette, Wyoming, daughter in law, Lyn Sinclair of Rifle, Colorado, 13 grandchildren and many great & great, great grandchildren..
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 3 sisters and one son, Bud Sinclair.
