Funeral services for Arthur Larry Coggins, 72, of Lander will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at the Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander at 11:00 AM, Private family burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander under the direction of Hudson's Funeral Home of Lander.Mr. Coggins passed away on May 1, 2013 at the Help for Health Hospice in Riverton after a short illness.
Arthur Larry Coggins was born on June 22, 1940 to Arthur and Lucy (Petersen) Coggins in Kemmerer, Wy.He grew up in Superior. WY and moved to Lander his sophomore year in High School in 1957.
He married Mary Ann Woith on March 15, 1961.The couple remained married until her death in 2006.He worked for U.S. Steel for twenty years, retiring in 1981 shortly before it closed.He went on to be responsible for the security at the mine until the reclamation project was complete.He was a lifelong member of the NRA and an avid hunter.He enjoyed all sports and was a huge racing fan.He loved all aspects of living in Wyoming.
He is survived by one sister, LaRue Moses, of Rock Springs, WY, one daughter VanayCogginsSyme, of Melbourne FL, one son, Vance Coggins of Panama City Beach, FL, one grandson, Clayton Syme of Viera, FL, two granddaughters; Heather Coggins of Louisville, Kentucky and Ashley Coggins of Panama City Beach, Fl, Nieces; Karen West, of Henderson, Nevada and Tammy Moses, of Las Vegas, Nevada and one nephew Wayne Moses of Rock Springs, WYT and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary Ann Coggins in 2006, his father Arthur W. Coggins in 1972 his mother Lucy Coggins in 2000 and one nephew Daniel Moses in 1992.
