Arlene Russell, 63, of Lander, Wyoming, passed away on February 2nd at home surrounded by her closest family and friends. A cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, she will always be remembered for her love, compassion, and positive impact on the lives of everyone she met.
Arlene was born on March 30th, 1961 to Melvin M. Russell and Anna P. Russell in the Payson, Utah Area. Arlene moved to Lander, Wyoming with her parents but eventually returned to Utah. However, her love for the Lander community drew her back, where she settled, raised her three children, and met the love of her life, Brent (Poncho) Johnson.
Arlene was passionate about her work at CES, where she served and cared for residents. After many years of dedication, she retired at age 60.
She is survived by her three children: Seth Russell (Tia), Lyndsey Christian (Kris Vickery), and Brenna Johnson; her two older brothers: Dale Russell (Linda) and Gerald Russell (Claudia); her grandchildren: Caleb Russell, Alona Wilkerson, Cami Russell, Braxton Watts, and Anna Christian; as well as numerous cousins, extended family, and friends who will miss her dearly. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Brent Johnson; her parents, Melvin and Anna Russell; her sister, Jana Roupe; and her grandson, Brent Russell.
Per Arlene's request, no formal services will take place. Though she is no longer with us, Arlene's legacy of love and compassion will live on.
