Angeletta J. Shoyo, 77, of Fort Washakie, Wyoming, died on August 8, 2022 in the Morning Star Manor, Fort Washakie, Wyoming. Her Funeral Service will be 10:00am, Friday, August 12, 2022 in the Roberts Episcopal Mission, Trout Creek Road, Fort Washakie, Wyoming. Visitation will be in the same location the night before, 6:00pm – All Night with Wake Service at 7:000pm, August 11, 2022. Burial will follow the Funeral Service in the Sacajawea Cemetery, Fort Washakie, Wyoming.
Angie Shoyo was born on July 2, 1945 to Helmer and Emma A. Panzetanga Ute in the Fort Washakie, Wind River Hospital.
The majority of the time she was a mother raisingher daughters and others that needed one as well. She worked at Warm Valley Senior Center, volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader, was a First Responder with the Fort Washakie Fire Department, enjoyed beading, reading, puzzles of many types, numerous crafts, and casino gambling.
Angie also traveled and assistedher late husband, Bunny Shoyo with Native American Church Prayer Ceremonies. She was also a lifetime member of the Shoshone Episcopal Mission and always loved attending Shoshonean Language Reunions.
Angie was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Harrison "Bunny" Shoyo; son, Jerome Shoyo; daughters, Bonnie Mae Shoyo, P. Kelly Shoyo; parents, Helmerand Emma Ute; siblings, Elias Ute, Newman Ute, Theo Ute, Mae Ute, Maxine Ute; nieces and nephews, Kimbleshaw Moon, Gary Moon, Nathaniel Moon and Dionne Tindall.
Survivors include daughters, Carolyn Shoyo, Tanna Dicken; sister, A. Joyce Posey; nieces and nephews, Ann Wilson Family, Carmen Thomas and Family, Colleen Anderson; Preston Ute and Family, Lori Ute and Family, and Curtis Moon and Family.
