Aloysius Willow Sr. passed away August 8, 2019 at his family home, Willow Lodge in Arapahoe, Wyoming surrounded by his children and many friends.
Visitation services will be all night, Sunday, August 11, 2019 in the Blue Sky Hall, beginning at 6pm. The Funeral Service will be 10am, Monday, August 12, 2019 in the Blue Sky Hall. Burial will follow in the Yellow Calf Cemetery, Ethete.
Aloysius Willow Sr born at Ethete WY in a Tent along the banks of Wind River at Bridgeport in Ethete, Wyoming, on November 27, 1923 to Emma Blondina (Shakespeare) Willow and Sidney Willow Sr.
Aloysius attended St. Michaels Mission up to the 3rd grade after that he started working doing a mans job and supported his parents and his family, until he married Nancy Standing when he was in his early 20s. His children were daughter Carol Ann Willow (deceased), Aloysius Donald Willow (deceased) Katherine Vann, Thomas Joseph (Debra), Rebecca (Becky) Bishop (Allen), Rita Joyce, Verne James, Marcene Rachel. Many Grandchildren, Kathleen, Karen, Marion (Bennie), Susie Brice, Charles Jr. and Anna Brice. Myron Harris Willow, Gerald Willow (Kris), Richard Pineda, Houston Willow, Angeline Naranjo, Ginger Willow, Nye-Thiock (Shay), Nakusaych Nokuxu Amy (David), Elaine Miller, Alicia Vann, Theresa Vann-Johnson, Jon Vann(Catherine), Titus Aloysius Morrison, Joseph C. Alberts jr., (Anne), Jolene Rae, Henry Earl Alberts, Raymond Aloysius Willow, Michael Willows Children & Grand Children, Salina CBearings Children and Grand Children, Ernest Willow Srs Children and Grand Children, Sidney Willow Jrs Children and Grand Children. Dorothy Gamblers Children and Grandchildren. Numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, and many cousins he took as brothers and sister, too many to mention by name.
He grew up in the Ethete area and always considered Ethete his home. He loved to be with his brothers going fishing, riding horses, hunting.Later he moved to Arapahoe and raised his family, he worked for many of the area farmers as laborer and built many homes in the Riverton area. In 1962 he moved his family to Long Beach, California with the BIA relocation program, there he work at McDonald Douglas/Boeing in North Long Beach California for 19 years, He retired in 1980 and wanted to move back to his home on 17 Mile road in Arapahoe, He rebuilt his home and later the N A Housing built his present home where he resided the remaining years of his life. Where he enjoyed visiting with his grand children and great grandchildren and his many, many relatives. He was also known for his talent working on cars, and his children and grandchildren always joined in to help and learn to work on their cars.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Nancy Standing, son, Aloysius Jr. daughter, Carol Ann, granddaughters Francis Rider, Theresa Vann-Johnson, Kathleen Ann Rider, Nancy Sharon Willow, grandson Titus Aloysius Morrison. Michael his wife Annie Willow, Salina and Henry CBearing, Ernest and Lucille Willow, Sidney and Cecelia Willow. Sonny Rae, Randall Ray Van Fleet. Nieces and Nephews Merlin and Philbert Willow, Loris and Lenora Willow. Pat CBearing. Karen Noon, Etta CBearing"Crispen. Amber Goggles. Cyndee and Frances Goggles.
