Alma Trimmer

Funeral services for Alma Alice Trimmer will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, at Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home of Lander. The Rev. Tom Peacock will officiate.

Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, July 24, at the funeral home.

Ms. Trimmer passed away, July 20, 2009. She was 85.

Alma was born on September. 16, 1923, in Odebolt, Iowa., the daughter of John Leitz and Anna Bohlmeyer.

Alma spent her growing up years in Iowa and in Illinois and moving from the midwest with her husband, William E. Wayt to Texas where he was stationed in the Army. The couple moved to New Mexico and in 1961 moved their family of four children to the Lander area where Alma resumed her waitressing career at the Fremont Hotel, Noble Hotel and Maverick Restaurant. On August 15, 1970 she married O. James (Jim) Trimmer Jr. of Lander. Their Family expanded to include four children from his first marriage. The couple enjoyed fishing the many lakes of Fremont County, camping, and spending as much time as possible with the children and grandchildren who all enjoyed Alma's excellent cooking.

Alma is survived by her children Bill Wayt and Wife Karolyn of Cheyenne, WY, Scherann Day and husband LeRoy of Longmont, CO, Alice Miller and husband Scott of Laramie, WY, Diana Keep and husband Tony of Hillsboro, OR, Edith Trimmer and husband Thomas Brill of Salt Lake City, UT, Ed Trimmer and wife Linda of Sheridian, WY, Jane Trimmer of Lander, WY, Roy Trimmer of Casper, WY, and 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters Dorothy Bloom of Iowa and Amanda Sauer of Iowa, 1 brother Eldred Lietz and wife Mildred of Iowa and her favorite niece and her husband Nancy and Don Ferkel of Iowa.

She was preceded in death by husband o. James (Jim) Trimmer Jr.
