Alice Mae Redding

Mar 8, 1936 — Oct 23, 2026

March 8, 1936 – October 23, 2026

Alice Mae Redding, affectionately known as “Tootsie” and “Alicestare,” was born on March 8, 1936, in Sheridan, Wyoming, to Cecil and Marietta Arnold. She was one of seven children. When Alice was in the third grade, her family moved to Lander, Wyoming, where she grew up and later attended Fremont County Vocational High School.

After graduating, Alice married Arthur W. Redding on September 23, 1954. During their 50-year marriage, they raised 12 children and built a family that grew to include many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alice nurtured her family with enduring love, care, and devotion.

In 1964, Alice was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her faith became a guiding force in her life. She sought to follow the example of Jesus Christ and encouraged her children to do the same. Her kindness, graciousness, and hospitality were well known throughout the community and reflected her deep love for Jehovah God and her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Many in the community knew Alice as the “plant and flower lady” at several local businesses. But one of her greatest joys was sharing Bible truths with others. She found deep satisfaction in helping people discover the hope, comfort, and promises found in God’s Word. Her ministry was more than an activity; it was an expression of her love for Jehovah and her genuine concern for others.

Alice passed away on October 23, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She leaves behind a cherished legacy of faith, kindness, and love that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all those whose lives she touched.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on November 7, 2026, at the Bob Carey Memorial Fieldhouse, 350 Baldwin Creek Road, Lander, Wyoming.

Terrence Marrier of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses will officiate.
